Bio-Techne’s VisUCyte™ HRP Polymer Detection Kits are an advanced research solution for streamlined and precise tissue staining. Our kits, consisting of biotin-free detection reagents, overcome challenges of avidin-biotin detection chemistry by providing faster and more efficient, specific staining on tissue sections. With the high sensitivity of VisUCyte™ HRP Polymer, primary antibody concentrations can be reduced by 2-3 times compared to conventional methods.
Our HRP polymer-conjugated secondary antibodies are versatile, reacting with all IgG subclasses, suitable for both manual protocols and tissue autostainers. Secondary antibodies used for conjugation to HRP polymer undergo rigorous quality control, ensuring reproducibility. Due to their high sensitivity, VisUCyte™ kits are ideal for detecting low-abundant tissue proteins, providing the ability to complete IHC experiments in just 1-2 hours, while additionally resulting in significant cost savings.

Scientific Data Examples for Goat VisUCyte HRP Polymer-DAB Cell & Tissue Staining Kit
Detection of Vimentin in Human Liver.
Tissue sections were first incubated with Human/Mouse/Rat Vimentin Antibody (AF2105) and then subjected to staining development using Goat IgG VisUCyte HRP-DAB Kit (Catalog # VCTS004B). Specific staining was localized to the cytoplasm. Note strong and high contrast specific tissue staining and the absence of non-specific background staining produced by the VisUCyte kit.
Detection of Meprin beta Subunit/MEP1B in Human Duodenum.
Tissue sections were first incubated with Goat Anti-Human MEP1B Polyclonal Antibody (AF2895) and then subjected to staining development using Goat VisUCyte HRP Polymer-DAB Cell & Tissue Staining Kit (Catalog #VCTS004B). Specific staining was confined to the striated border of the intestinal epithelium. Note strong and high contrast specific tissue staining produced and the absence of non-specific background staining.
Side-by-side comparison of staining using different detection chemistries on adjacent tissue sections of Human Breast Cancer.
Formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) breast cancer tissue microarray (TMA) sections were incubated with Goat Anti-Human BRCA1 antibody (AF2210), then subjected to staining development using either Goat VisUCyte HRP Polymer-DAB Cell & Tissue Staining Kit (Catalog# VCTS004B) or conventional HRP-DAB detection chemistry. Strong specific tissue staining is seen using VisUCyte kit whereas conventional HRP-DAB detection produced little or no staining. In clinical research, using VisUCyte kits allows for high-sensitivity detection of cancer biomarkers compared to conventional HRP-DAB protocol.
Side-by-side comparison of staining using different detection chemistries on adjacent tissue sections of Human Kidney Tumor.
Vimentin was detected in immersion fixed paraffin-embedded sections of human kidney tumor using Goat Anti-Human/Mouse/Rat Vimentin Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF2105) at 1 µg/ml overnight at 4 °C followed by incubation with the Goat VisUCyte HRP Polymer-DAB Cell & Tissue Staining Kit (Catalog # VCTS004B) and a generic Avidin-biotin kit. Before incubation with the primary antibody, tissue was subjected to heat-induced epitope retrieval using VisUCyte Antigen Retrieval Reagent-Basic (Catalog # VCTS021). Tissue was stained using DAB (brown) and counterstained with hematoxylin (blue). Specific staining was localized to the membrane. Strong specific tissue staining is seen using VisUCyte kit.
