Biological Activity for RA 2

RA 2 is a potent negative modulator of calcium-activated potassium channels K_Ca2.3 and K_Ca3.1 (IC₅₀ values are 2 and 17 nM, respectively), which displays >55-fold selectively for K_Ca2 and K_Ca3.1 over other K_Ca, K_v and K_ir channels. In ex vivo porcine coronary endothelium, RA 2 inhibits SKA 31 (Cat. No. 3670)-induced K_Ca2/K_Ca3.1 currents and TRAM 34 (Cat. No. 2946)-insensitive K_Ca2 currents. Reduces heart rate in mice in a K_Ca3.1-dependent manner.
