Scientific Data Images for Human Trypsin 2/PRSS2 Antibody
Detection of Human Trypsin 2/PRSS2 by Western Blot.
Western blot shows lysates of human pancreas tissue. PVDF membrane was probed with 2 µg/mL of Mouse Anti-Human Trypsin 2/PRSS2 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB3586) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (HAF018). A specific band was detected for Trypsin 2/PRSS2 at approximately 24 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under non-reducing conditions and using Western Blot Buffer Group 1.Detection of Human Trypsin 2/PRSS2 by Western Blot.
Western blot shows recombinant human Trypsin 1, recombinant human Trypsin 2 and recombinant human Trypsin 3. PVDF membrane was probed with 2 µg/mL of Mouse Anti-Human Trypsin-2/PRSS2 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB3586) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF108). A specific band was detected for Trypsin-2/PRSS2 at approximately 24 kDa (as indicated). Human Trypsin 2/PRSS2 was immunoprecipitated from 500 μg of human pancreas lysates with 12.5 ug Mouse Anti-Human Trypsin 2/PRSS2 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB3586). The Trypsin 2/PRSS2-antibody complexes were absorbed using Protein G Sepharose. Immunoprecipitated human Trypsin 2/PRSS2 was detected by Western blot using 2 µg/mL of Sheep Anti-Human Trypsin Pan Specific (PRSS1/2/3) Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (AF3586) under non-reducing conditions and using Western Blot Buffer Group 1.Applications for Human Trypsin 2/PRSS2 Antibody

Background: Trypsin 2/PRSS2
Human Trypsin 2, encoded by the PRSS2 gene, is also known as anionic Trypsin (1). Accounting for approximately 1/3 of the total trypsin content in the pancreatic juice, it is one of the trypsins produced in the pancreas. It consists of a signal peptide (residues 1‑15), a pro region (residues 16‑23), and a mature chain (residues 24‑247). Trypsin 2 is synthesized as a zymogen and secreted into the duodenal lumen, where it is activated by enteropeptidase (2). It plays a central role in digestion and activating other pro-enzymes. In human pancreatic diseases and chronic alcoholism, it is up-regulated (3).
