Scientific Data Images for Human Exosome Component 9 Antibody

Detection of Exosome Component 9 in Human Colon Cancer.

Exosome Component 9 was detected in immersion fixed paraffin-embedded sections of human colon cancer using Mouse Anti-Human Exosome Component 9 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB11616) at 5 µg/ml for 1 hour at room temperature followed by incubation with the Anti-Mouse IgG VisUCyte™ HRP Polymer Antibody (Catalog # VC001). Before incubation with the primary antibody, tissue was subjected to heat-induced epitope retrieval using VisUCyte Antigen Retrieval Reagent-Basic (Catalog # VCTS021). Tissue was stained using DAB (brown) and counterstained with hematoxylin (blue). Specific staining was localized to the nucleus. View our protocol for IHC Staining with VisUCyte HRP Polymer Detection Reagents.

Detection of Exosome Component 9 in U251-MG Human Cell Line.

Exosome Component 9 was detected in immersion fixed U251-MG human malignant glioblastoma cell line using Mouse Anti-Human Exosome Component 9 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB11616) at 8 µg/ml for 3 hours at room temperature. Cells were stained using the NorthernLights™ 557-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (red; Catalog # NL007) and counterstained with DAPI (blue). Specific staining was localized to the nucleus. View our protocol for Fluorescent ICC Staining of Cells on Coverslips.

Background: Exosome Component 9

Exosome Component 9 (EXOSC9) is a 49 kDa protein and one of the six core proteins of the RNA exosome complex. It is known that EXOSC9 is necessary for the normal differentiation of epidermal tissues. EXOSC9 is also necessary for P-body formation, stress resistance and tumorigenicity in cancers. Depletion of EXOSC9 attenuates stress resistance and P-body formation in cancer cells and higher EXOSC9 activity correlates with poor prognosis in some types of cancers.
