Product Feature: CoraFluor Probes for TR-FRET
CoraFluor™ 1, amine reactive (Catalog:7920) and CoraFluor™ 2, amine reactive (Catalog # 7950) are terbium-based probes that have been developed for use as TR-FRET donors. They emit wavelengths compatible with commonly used fluorescent acceptor dyes such as BODIPY® (or BDY) and Janelia Fluor® dyes, FITC (Catalog # 5440), TMR and Cyanine 5 (Catalog # 5436). CoraFluor™ fluorescence is brighter and more stable in biological media than existing TR-FRET donors, leading to enhanced sensitivity and improved data generation. CoraFluor™ 1 exhibits excitation upon exposure to a 337 nm UV laser.Applications for Fucosyltransferase 3/5 (FUT3/5) Antibody (425037) [CoraFluor™ 1]

Background: Fucosyltransferase 3/5 (FUT3/5)
FUT5 (alpha-1, 3-fucosyltransferase 5; also Fuc-TV) is a 43 kDa member of the glycosyltransferase 10 family. It is responsible for the terminal step in the synthesis of Lex, sialy-Lex, and Lea antigens. This is accomplished by the transfer of fucose to preexisting LacNAc or sialyl-LacNAc structures. Human FUT5 is 374 amino acids (aa) in length. It is a type II transmembrane Golgi glycoprotein with a C-terminal lumenal domain (aa 35-374). The catalytic domain spans aa 77-374, while the acceptor-binding motif includes aa 120-126. FUT5 is the product of a single exon gene. Thus, there are no splice variants. FUT5 only occurs in primates; there is no rodent ortholog.
