Biological Activity for Tamsulosin hydrochloride

Tamsulosin hydrochloride is a selective α_1A-adrenoceptor antagonist (pK_i values are 9.97, 9.64 and 8.86 for α_1A, α_1B and α_1D subtypes respectively). Decreases resting maximal urethral pressure with negligible effect on mean arterial blood pressure in vivo.
