SC 236 is a selective COX-2 inhibitor (IC50 values are 0.005 and 17.8 μM for COX-2 and COX-1 respectively). Displays anti-inflammatory properties and potent antimetastatic activity against both experimental metastases and spontaneous metastases arising following primary tumor excision.
