Biological Activity for Salbutamol hemisulfate

Salbutamol hemisulfate is a selective β₂-adrenergic agonist with 29-fold higher selectivity for β₂ over β₁ receptors. Salbutamol elevates fibroblast growth factor 20 (FGF20) in nigrostriatal neurons, and is neuroprotective in a mouse model of Parkinson's disease.
