Product Feature: CoraFluor Probes for TR-FRET
CoraFluor™ 1, amine reactive (Catalog:7920) and CoraFluor™ 2, amine reactive (Catalog # 7950) are terbium-based probes that have been developed for use as TR-FRET donors. They emit wavelengths compatible with commonly used fluorescent acceptor dyes such as BODIPY® (or BDY) and Janelia Fluor® dyes, FITC (Catalog # 5440), TMR and Cyanine 5 (Catalog # 5436). CoraFluor™ fluorescence is brighter and more stable in biological media than existing TR-FRET donors, leading to enhanced sensitivity and improved data generation. Background: Rae-1
The Rae-1 proteins, including Rae-1 alpha, beta, gamma, delta, and epsilon, are members of a family of GPI-linked proteins that function as ligands for mouse NKG2D. The Rae-1 proteins are distantly related to MHC class I proteins, but they possess only the alpha 1 and alpha 2 Ig-like domains, and they have no ability to bind peptide or interact with beta 2-microglobulin. The genes encoding these proteins are not found within the Major Histocompatibility Complex on mouse chromosome 17, but rather map to mouse chromosome 10. Rae-1 family members have retinoic acid-inducible elements in their promoter regions.
