Chromatin Immunoprecipitation-exo-Seq: KIN Antibody - BSA Free [NBP2-58750]

ChIP-Exo-Seq composite graph for Anti-KIN (NBP2-58750) tested in K562 cells. Strand-specific reads (blue: forward, red: reverse) and IgG controls (black: forward, grey: reverse) are plotted against the distance from a composite set of reference binding sites. The antibody exhibits robust target enrichment compared to a non-specific IgG control and precisely reveals its structural organization around the binding site. Data generated by Prof. B. F. Pugh´s Lab at Cornell University.

Background: KIN

The protein encoded by the KIN gene is a nuclear protein that forms intranuclear foci during proliferation and isredistributed in the nucleoplasm during the cell cycle. Short-wave ultraviolet light provokes the relocalization ofthe protein, suggesting its participation in the cellular response to DNA damage. Originally selected based onprotein-binding with RecA antibodies, the mouse protein presents a limited similarity with a functional domain of thebacterial RecA protein, a characteristic shared by this human ortholog. (provided by RefSeq)

Alternate Names

antigenic determinant of recA protein (mouse) homolog, Binding to curved DNA, BTCDDNA/RNA-binding protein KIN17, KIN, antigenic determinant of recA protein homolog, KIN, antigenic determinant of recA protein homolog (mouse), KIN17antigenic determinant of recA protein homolog
