Western blot shows lysates of MDA-MB-468 human breast cancer cell line, Ramos human Burkitt's lymphoma cell line, and Raji human Burkitt's lymphoma cell line. PVDF membrane was probed with 1 µg/mL of Mouse Anti-Human/Mouse/Rat IKKe Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB3199) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF007). A specific band was detected for IKKe at approximately 80 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 3.

IKK epsilon in MCF-7 Human Cell Line.

IKKe was detected in immersion fixed MCF-7 human breast cancer cell line using Mouse Anti-Human/Mouse/Rat IKKe Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB3199) at 10 µg/mL for 3 hours at room temperature. Background: IKK epsilon

I kappaB kinase epsilon (IKK epsilon) is also known as IKBKE and IKKi. The classical active IKK complex, composed of IKK alpha, IKK beta, and two forms of processed IKK gamma, phosphorylates and inactivates I kappaB, resulting in the release and nuclear translocation of active NF-kappa B. IKK epsilon is an IKK-related kinase with 30% structural homology to IKK alpha and beta, and is present in a subset of IKK complexes. IKK epsilon activation has been implicated in the initiation of anti-viral gene expression and in the pathogenesis of breast cancer.
