Product Feature: CoraFluor Probes for TR-FRET
CoraFluor™ 1, amine reactive (Catalog:7920) and CoraFluor™ 2, amine reactive (Catalog # 7950) are terbium-based probes that have been developed for use as TR-FRET donors. They emit wavelengths compatible with commonly used fluorescent acceptor dyes such as BODIPY® (or BDY) and Janelia Fluor® dyes, FITC (Catalog # 5440), TMR and Cyanine 5 (Catalog # 5436). CoraFluor™ fluorescence is brighter and more stable in biological media than existing TR-FRET donors, leading to enhanced sensitivity and improved data generation. CoraFluor™ 1 exhibits excitation upon exposure to a 337 nm UV laser.Applications for FIZZ1/RELM alpha Antibody [CoraFluor™ 1]

Background: FIZZ1/RELM alpha
Found in Inflammatory Zone 1 (FIZZ1), also known as Resistin-like Molecule (RELM) alpha, is a cysteine-rich secreted protein that is a member of the FIZZ/RELM family. It is 111 amino acids (aa) in length, with aa 1-23 serving as a putative signal peptide. Mouse FIZZ1/RELM alpha has a predicted molecular weight of approximately 9.5 kDa, and shares 50% aa sequence identity with the human ortholog. FIZZ1/RELM alpha is expressed in white adipose tissue, but not in preadipocytes nor 3T3-L1 adipocytes. It is also expressed in lung tissue, and its expression has been seen to increase during allergic pulmonary inflammation. FIZZ1/RELM alpha has also been detected in the mammary glands, heart, tongue, skeletal muscles, and alternatively-activated macrophages.
